BLACK BELT COMMUNITY FOUNDATION - about BBCF
Vision
A Transformed Black Belt
Our vision is of a transformed Black Belt where all of our residents contribute to healthy communities and reap the benefits of our shared gifts and a productive regional economy. Our job is to consolidate many region-wide improvement efforts into a common effort with a simple mission: To forge a collective stream of giving from Alabama and other sources so we, the people of the Black Belt, can enhance our continuing efforts to lift ourselves by "taking what we have to make what we need."

Message from Executive Director
Felecia Jones's Message
We are looking forward to an exciting new year in 2007. We are extremely proud of the many Black Belt Community Foundation successes during the past three years. By March 2007, we will have given out more than $300,000 in grant funds to deserving organizations. We have come a long way, but still have a long way to go. We have come a long way in creating a representative board of directors. We have come a long way by receiving strong foundation support.
Mission
We Exist for the People of the Black Belt
